On July 26th – 29th, Sos Children’s Villages held a charity run. Around 350 people raced the 150 kilometre long run to care, while more than 7000 contributed as donors for the cause.
Pada bulan Juli tahun ini, Sos Children’s Villages mengadakan acara amal yang bekerja sama dengan GOFIT, penyedia jasa Indonesia untuk tips gaya hidup sehat. Sekitar 350 orang berlomba lari sejauh 150 kilometer untuk peduli, sementara lebih dari 7000 berkontribusi sebagai donor untuk tujuan tersebut.
Although for the fundraising alone the run was a great cause, it was topped by the event using plastic-free cups over the entire event. Avani worked for the run to care and provided them with our paper cups and biodegradable poncho.
Tidak hanya penggalangan dana, acara amal ini juga semakin positif karena tidak menggunakan gelas plastik selama acara berlangsung. Sebagai salah satu bentuk dukungan, Avani membantu menyediakan gelas kertas dan jas hujan ramah lingkungan untuk acara run to care ini.
Since the paper cups are lined with cornstarch, they are fully compostable and not harming the environment. This proves that even at events like the run to care you can be eco-friendly and fight plastic pollution in the process.
Gelas kertas yang diproduksi oleh Avani dilapisi pati jagung sehingga dapat dikompos serta tidak berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa acara besar seperti run to care pun sangat memungkinkan untuk diselenggarakan secara ramah lingkungan.
Apart from keeping the environment safe, the running itself also paid off – Rp2.395.620.663 were raised, which will be used to support the over 5000 Indonesian children under SOS Children’s Village’s care. With that, the run to care has not only been eco-friendly, but also helped many children.
Selain membantu menjaga kebersihan dan keramahan lingkungan, acara run to care berhasil mengumpulkan dana sebesar Rp2.395.620.663,-. Dana yang terkumpul tersebut akan disumbangkan kepada lebih dari 5000 anak Indonesia di bawah asuhan SOS Children’s Village.
